Shay McCafferty is a Maryland based artist who works primarily with colored pencil on wood, though she enjoys experimenting with anything she can get her hands on. The imagery in her work draws inspiration from life, death, the passage of time, health, emotions, human's connection with nature, advancements in the tech-world and her own experiences. The viewer is invited to create their own connection and experience with subjects in her pieces as their vision promotes original thought and encourages a creative discussion as to what is happening within the work itself.
